Because I found that the more serious sawing on a workbench (large one) and the WorkMate to be annoying I've made this (English) saw bench.

I thought it would be a nice idea to use old table legs. It might have been be better not to do so with regard to stability and firmness. But it all works fine.

I'm now thinking about making a matching Swedish saw bench.
